• 1. Can students submit their homework online?
• Yes they can. After posting a homework question, teachers can request that their students submit their homework answers online to be assessed through Show My Homework. This has been one of our most requested features.
• 2. Can we not do this in Fronter?
• Yes you can, but Fronter takes time to learn, utilise and become familiar with for it to be effective. This is a simple tool for everyone to use and access. If you are using Fronter, you can put a "Show My Homework" Button in your Fronter room with a simple piece of code you paste in. To get this code, simply click on the 'Add a link to our site' link on your My Desk page)
• 3. Can I post my coursework questions and tasks on here?
• Yes, sure you can. Show My Homework can be used for a number of purposes. In BTEC ICT, we use it to split up tasks into Pass, Merits and Distinctions and post them with deadlines.
• 4. Why do my homework questions have to be so short in length?
• We believe short questions will engage students more and encourage them to find out, explore and actually do the homework set. We would encourage users to put lengthy questions and instructions in their worksheets and upload them.
• 5. What excuses does Show My Homework remove?

• 6. What if a student does not have internet access at home?
• Students can print their homework for the week at school, during tutor time, at lunch time, or after school.
• 7. I can't remember my username or password!
• Your username is the email address you used to sign up with us. If you forget your password, you can use the given link on the login screen to reset it. You will then get an email with instructions on how to proceed. If your require further assistance, please email us at [email protected]
• 8. Which browser should I use for Show My Homework?
• Most modern browsers such as Internet Exlorer 7, 8 and 9, Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox work extremly well. We provide limited support for Internet Explorer 6. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, we recomend you upgrade your browser. Your IT team should be able to do this easily.
• 9. What are the rules for editing and deleting Homework, Class Tests, and Exams?
• You can edit your Homework posts upto and on (but not after) the deadline date. You can delete Homework before its issue date (i.e. before it appears on the homework calendar for students). The same rules apply for Class Tests. An Exam post can be edited or deleted upto 7 days before the exam date.

• 1. What is Show My Homework?
• Show My Homework is an online tool for teachers to post homework questions for students. You can see all your homework on one page through your school's homework calender page. You can also submit your homework answers to your teachers through Show My Homework if they have requested, and see all your grades and feedback for your submitted work. Show My Homework will help you keep on top of all of your homework, freeing up your time to enjoy your evenings and weekends.
• 2. How can I use Show My Homework?
• You can sign up to Show My Homework if your class teachers are using the site to post homework questions for you and your classmates. If your teachers are not using Show My Homework, you can give them our website link: http://www.showmyhomework.co.uk
• 3. How will Show My Homework help me get better grades?
• Unfortunately Show My Homework can't do your homework for you, but it will help you plan your evenings and weekends constructively, so if you do need more help you can ask your teachers and parents before the homework is due in. If used correctly, Show My Homework will help you to keep on top of all your homework, freeing up your time to enjoy your evening and weekends.
• 4. Can I sign up if my teachers are not using Show My Homework?
• Unfortunately, you are only allowed to submit homework for class teachers in your school. Please see the house rules. If teachers at your school are not using Show My Homework, you can tell them about us: http://www.showmyhomework.co.uk
• 5. Can my parents see what my homework is?
• Yes they can. All you need to do is give your parents the URL for your school's homework calendar, so that they can see what homework you have.
• 6. What happens if I can't see my homework on the calendar?
• You can use the filters on your school's homework calendar to filter by year group, subject, class, or by teacher to see if homework has been set. If it still does not appear, please make sure your teacher has posted the homework on the site.
• 7. Can I print my homework questions and worksheet attachments?
• Yes you can. Find your question on your school's homework calendar. If there's an attachment, you can click on it to download it and print as you would any other document. With each Homework question, you will see a 'Print this Homework' link. You can click this link to print the homework question.
• 8. Can I submit Homework online?
• Yes you can. If your class teacher requests homework to be handed in online, you can submit your work by browsing your computer's hard drive and attaching the correct file.
• 9. What type of files can I submit my homework in?
• Show My Homework allows you to submit homework in the following formats: text, image (jpeg, png, gif), mp3, pdf, ms office (word, excel, powerpoint), and zip.
• 10. What happens if I submit the wrong homework file?
• If the deadline for the homework has not passed, you can change the file you have submitted very simply. If the deadline has passed, you will need to ask your teacher for permission to re-submit with the right file.
• 11. Can I still submit homework online if I miss the deadline?
• While it is not recommended, yes, you can; however your teacher will be notified that your homework was submitted late. But you can only submit homework late if it has not been marked by your teacher.
• 12. When will I find out my grade for homework I have submitted?
• Once your teacher has marked your homework, you will be sent an email with the grade and any comments that they have made. You can see all your grades and see the progress of your submitted work by logging in to Show My Homework and clicking on the 'My Report Card' tab.
• 13. Can my parents see my grades?
• Once you have been given a grade for a piece of homework, you can either forward that email to your parents or you can login to your Show My Homework account and show them your report card.
• 14. Can my classmates see my grades?
• No. Only you have access to your report card. But you can share your grades with your class mates if you wish.
• 15. Can I chat to my friends using Show My Homework?
• There are no communication tools at present to communicate via email, text, or instant messaging to another student or user of the Show My Homework community.
• 16. Can anyone see my email address?
• No. Your email address is only visible to you. Show My Homework does not share your email address, first name, or surname with anyone else at any point.
• 17. What happens if I break the house rules?
• Show My Homework has put in a number of house rules for all students and users to follow. If you break the rules, your school will be notified and your account will be permanently blacklisted from using the service.
