Homework Tips

• 1 Practice makes perfect!
  If you don't understand the question first time around, read it slowly and carefully, word by word, a few times. More often than not, the words will start to connect more and will soon have more meaning.
• 2 Call a friend!
  Ask them to explain things you don't understand or find confusing. You'll find a solution quicker that way.
• 3 There's more to research than just Google...
  Try a different search engine. Search engines aimed at specific subjects, such as maths or science, will help you find info quickly and reliably.
• 4 Do the small things right!
  Pay special attention to punctuation, spelling, and grammar. It will improve the quality of your work.
• 5 Take a break ... and then come back!
  Once you've finished your work, take a break, relax, and then come back to it fresh and read through it.
• 6 Make it look good!
  Spend a bit of time formatting your work, adding your name, footer, and page numbers, and make your effort stand out.
• 7 Your homework can help with exams too!
  For exams prep, work backwards, identify concepts you find most difficult and work on them. Here, you can use your homework questions to prepare better.
• 8 Plan it out!
  Plan your homework out. Remember, you don't have to do everything in one day or at the last minute.
